Monday nights class
I really enjoyed last monday nights class, I think our guest speaker was really inspiring because I am one of your students who is going into deaf and hard of hearing along with elementary education. So I really enjoyed watching her and learning her answers to all the questions!!

I am going into deaf education as well. I really liked hearing her experiences. I also was able to do my observation with a deaf and hearing impaired teacher. Wow! I learned so much.
Sometimes when we are doing something alone we will talk to ourselves (at least I know a lot of people like that)well something that I learned was that deaf people do the same thing. The kindergarten age child sometimes when she was doing something by herself, such as choosing crayons, would sign the color of the crayon when she picked it up! Is that not the same concept? I never realized those thingsI am very excited to write my observation report now!!!
I had a hard time focusing on what was being said because I was so fascinated by their use of sign language. I felt like someone watching a tennis match. I just kept looking from one to the other. It was a very interesting class and I am glad she came and was willing to share with us.
