Language and communication is at the heart of society. Learning how to use language to communicate wants and have needs met can be a complex task for many children. Our course will explore how language develops and the intricate challenges many children face who experience a variety of physical, emotional and cognitive difficulties.

Class Monday
I missed class last nite, what time is Wednesdays class, and would that be a good time to catch up?
It is at the same time, 6-8:45. We will do the exact same activities: Creating an acrostic of the word Blindness to highlight the important considerations and instructional strategies to use if one has a blind student, considerations of deafness, clips from the video Through Deaf Eyes and a GUEST appearance by one of my former students. She will talk about her experience as a deaf student in mainstream school settings as well as her experience with the cochlear implant.
I would encourage any and all who couldn't attend on Monday to come Wednesday.
