You're welcome to post these comments on the blog. I am happy to have discussions here. Do you want me to publicly discuss the questions you missed and why you missed them here on the blog or would you prefer I do that privately in email?
I have given feedback in the test with specific page numbers and information to direct you to the answer.
I am VERY OPEN to feedback from students as to what you feel would be a more accurate method of assessing what you have internalized and are able to apply. In an OPEN BOOK - OPEN NOTE test at the COLLEGE LEVEL it is about specifically answering each question with details and evidence that you understand the information you are providing – not simply paraphrasing and transferring generally related info from one place to another.
If an open book, open note test accessible to students over multiple days isn't a fair way of assessing help me understand what would better meet students needs and STILL ensure that all students are being challenged to prepare for a professional career that is ahead.
Every question that is on the test has been answered 100% correctly by at least ONE student if not many more. This seems to suggest to me they are valid questions which CAN BE answered.
Again, I am VERY OPEN to feedback from students as to HOW you believe is a more appropriate way to TRULY ASSESS what you have LEARNED and are able to EXPLAIN.
I am MORE than willing to let YOU design Test #3. You’re welcome to submit questions for the next test for me to consider for inclusion.
I just don't know.
Kristen, Some things that help me on the exam are: asking myself questions such as, how do I learn information best? What have I seen other students struggle with? How do these things I know relate to the question that I have been asked?
These are the three main questions I ask myself everytime I answer a question. Then I try and incorporate my opinion on these questions into my answer. It seems to help me. I hope it helps you as well. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF YOU CAN DO WELL ON THE NEXT EXAM!!!
I know what you mean, I thought I was doing good on the test...but as it turns out I didnt do so great...maybe im just not a good test taker I dont know what it is...
