Technology Center
I just wanted to say I really enjoyed the technology center last week. I think it's amazing what the organization can do to assist individuals and their needs. I know now where I can donate some of my son's toys to and also where I can direct stroke patients and their family for assistive devices-because I truly don't think staff on the stroke unit know about the center and it is truly a wonderful place for those who need assistive devices.

I also thought the visit to the technology center was interesting. It's great to see an organization like this one. Simple adaptations like having a switch button added to a toy, can help a child more than we could expect. Often times as adults, we forget how important play is to a child - and I loved seeing all the toys in that room. :o)
Yeah, I thought it was cool to see how certain items can be turned into asissted technological devices. It gave me some good ideas for the future.
I also really enjoyed going to the technolgy center. I really had no clue that there was places like that. Its need how just about anything can be used as assisted technology.
I thought it was a great learning experience. I now know what technologies and services they offer the community. This information will be beneficial in the future!
