Just a quick question...

In doing an analysis of Pragmatics, are we supposed to count the TURNS and the Utterances?

I did both, but after I looked back at instructions for the analysis I wasn't sure if I should have completed both.

Also, when sectioning off TURNS should we do something deliberate showing that there was a turn in the conversation or does the narraration simply show that there was a TURN? I was confused by this.

You don't have to COUNT turns. You do have to count utterances to ensure that you have 100, the minimum length for the language sample.

If you'll check out the discussions below we've addressed how to show turns.

You may have already seen this by the time I've responsed.

I also wandered about that. When counting my utterances I also found some areas a little tricky because of the way the sentences were put together.
