Final Exam
So I guess Ill be the first to post something about the final exam. I noticed today in class how everyone was not happy with the final be comprehensive and I agree, my recommendations would be that the exam be over the last chapters we have covered. I would also prefer the exam to still be open to multiple tries, but that is jut my opinion. I am not a fan of comprehensive test because many times it is complicated to collect all the information into one test. This is just my recommendations and hope others request as well.

No matter what, I recommend the test be set up the same way as test three. Comprehensive can be good if its done by using questions on the main points of the chapters, but again they can be brutal as well I feel Mrs. White will form a fair and true assessment. Thanks for considering our input Mrs. White!
I agree Kenney! I believe that comprehensive would be good because it would give us the chance to refresh so to speak on what we have learned throughout the semester. I also liked the set up of test 3, and would love for the final to be the same way! Also,if it were available next week that would be wonderful! I would love to have the option of doing it before finals week!
Interesting comments and perspectives! Keep them coming.
i think i would prefer to not have the final test comprehensive. i feel that the past tests have allowed me to display what i have learned and that having a test with less chapters will allow me to present more about what i know about this specific information then a broad range of topics from the entire semester. does that make sense? [ha]
i also agree with serina about when the test would be up. i would love having the chance to finish up the test before finals week! just a thought.
:]
I agree with what everyone else has said. Comprehensive tests usually overwhelm me just because there is so much information-and even though I know the information I freeze up. I also think that the test should be formatted like the last one. Having the option to not answer two questions really helped me out. Thanks for taking into consideration our opinions about the final!
Personally, I do not think that a comprehensive final would be that overwhelming. I understand everyone’s concern, but all of the material that we have covered seems to flow together… I think it would be a lot easier to answer 10 questions about topics we’ve covered all semester verses 10 questions over a couple of chapters.
However, I do agree with everyone else about allowing multiple attempts. Even the thought of ‘multiple attempts’ makes me a little bit less stressed about finals week. I understand that everyone wants this semester to be over and are stressed to the max. So- PLEASE MRS. WHITE! :(
1. Beth, So, please what? Please on the multiple attempts?
2. You mention the number 10. . . that's been a common number in the past test. Thoughts?
I agree with everyone on both sides..Personally I would prefer a test over the last few chapters; just because we havent been tested over them yet and it is less overwhelming then being retested over EVERYTHING, but I know that is also necesary sometimes..
however, I loved the way test 3 was set up, where we could chose which questions we left out. Either way I think it will be fine!

It does not matter if the final is comprehensive or just over the past few chapters. I LOVED how test 3 was set up and I would like the similar format for the final. With several finals being given that week, it was be less stressful if the test could be posted next week after class. People would probably agree that they would feel more confident and not feel as rushed. Thank you so much Mrs. White for listening to our suggestions.
That would be awesome to have multiple attempts. I am also not a big fan of comprehensive tests.
Yes, Mrs. White- my plead is for multiple attempts~ :) It just seems to take away some stress when I know I can open the test and look at it and then think about some of the questions. And then, go back and answer some, maybe all! Either way, it's helpful for me to have multiple attempts~
The number 10 was really just a random guess. I just assumed we'd have around that many questions because of previous exams~ But Hey! Fewer questions would be good too! haha-
I would not mind the final being comprenhensive if it is like Test 3. But, if it is different (like having a time limit and only one attempt) then I would like it to be over new material only. Just some ideas! :)
