Language and communication is at the heart of society. Learning how to use language to communicate wants and have needs met can be a complex task for many children. Our course will explore how language develops and the intricate challenges many children face who experience a variety of physical, emotional and cognitive difficulties.
Being a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Major I love the links like this video and the other sign language links you have provided. I have already used the visual dictionary to teach little kids that I babysit how to say things that they want. It has been a great way to just have fun and learn.
This was amazing to me and it pulls at my heart. Seeing things like this really makes me want to learn more about ASL. My boyfriends little brother is named rikki and he just turned 4, he is deaf and has muscle tone issues.I know ASL will impact his life in the most important way so by seeing videos like this it makes me inspired. This was such a wonderful video. I am currently taking ASL and absolutely love it. Seeing videos like this mean so much more to me now that I have a better understanding of ASL. I think that this sends a very powerful message out that is well worth people hearing.

This is very powerful and inspiring because different ways of voicing a very beautiful message. Being a LBD major, I decided to minor in ASL. I am thinking about making it a second major. Watching videos such as these is such a great experience. My brother is a sign language interpreter and jokes with me all the time I should skip special ed and just go with ASL so he can say "someone followed in his footsteps." I tell him I want to do both, no matter how long it takes. I am ready for it.
Wow! I really just got chills! This is an amazing video. I have had ASL 101 and 102 and from these two classes I have gained so much more knowledge and respect for the deaf community. I think that many people are way too quick to judge the majority of the time and classes like this and ASL makes you aware of this. This was truly an amazing video! Thanks for posting it!
Very neat! I liked the way that they only showed them from neck down and then showed their faces in the end. I think it touches upon a great message that is so often overlooked these days...beauty is more than just a pretty face!!
I really enjoyed this video. I wish more videos (maybe even cartons etc) were more readily available for children with hearing impairments. Amazing video!!
