Let's Get Started!

To get started with the blog you may wish to post an introduction of yourself here on the blog. You may already have some questions about the class, something in the syllabus, assignments, etc. This is an excellent place to post those. You could also post beginning thoughts about this course and what you anticipate you will be learning over the next 15 weeks. Feel free to respond to one another! I will be responding, too. Hello Mrs. White! I cannot seem to get chapter one's presentation open as it says it isn't an original powerpoint presentation. Any help? Thank you!

Hi Mrs. White, my name Kristen. I recently got married in October 2007 so I am a Nicholas (maiden name Anderson) if there should be any confusion. I graduated from Corbin High School in 2005. I am living in Corbin and will be commuting back and forth to Richmond. I am currently a junior and I work for the Corbin School System. I work with some special needs children in the afterschool and I love my job. Also I sub occationally. I have a seven month old miniature schnauzer, her name is Madyson. I am loving married life and life in general right now. I am anxious for school to start back. I have a full schedule this semester and it is going to be very busy.

Well, I suppose I will follow in Kristen's steps. :] I am Kerrie Ann Bal, an 18 year old Army Brat. I graduated from Fort Knox High School last spring and recently changed my major over to SpedEd. My passions in life are dancing and helping people and I hope to join the Peace Corps one day. I am a very hard worker and i'm anticipating this semester so I can finally start my major classes!

Kristen- I have a seven month old pup too! Grant, however, is part beagle and border collie and isn't miniature at all. :]

Hello, Mrs. White, my name is Tiffany. I am currently a sophomore and I live in McGregor Hall. I enjoy working with children and my full major is Special Education: DHH (p-5) with a minor American Sign Language. My mother is the one whogot me involved with Special Needs children. She is a teachers aid in a high school FMD unit. She has also worked with deaf pre-schoolers, and she does respite care with different ages of children. I really feel like children are my life. I am 19 years old and enjoy dancing and making people laugh. I may be shy at first but once you get to know me you will see that I am very outspoken and loud :)!I am taking 18 hours this semester but that should not interfer with my homework capabilities. I am the recruitment advisor for Phi Sigma Pi, an honors co-ed fraternity and I am a member of the honors program. i work very hard at everything I do and am looking forward to this class. Thank you!

Hi, Mrs. White! My name is Ashley and I am a Deaf & Hard of Hearing with Elementary Education major. I come from a very small town. So small in fact that we identify ourselves by the county we are from instead of the city. Otherwise, no one would know where it was! I am looking forward to this class. I'm sure that I'll learn a lot! Thank You!
