Kind of worried
I know that I should have been on here earlier and that I it would have been better to post to other blogs if I was a little bit quicker, but like other students I am busy and still trying to learn how to manage my time. I am still a freshman now:)! But I was just seeing how everyones weekend(S) now I should say was? I was also seeing if there was any way we could have ideas of how to take notes. I am a worry wart and I dont know how to get all the information into the right format to study for test. Like some students I do not do well on test and was wondering if there was anyway anybody knew how to organize or keep there notes just to get some ideas.....thanks tons. Cant wait for class tonight!

I can tell you what helps me. It helps me alot to read the chapter before class because then when I get to class it kind of puts of everything together that I didn't understand, it's not like I'm trying to figure it out for the first time. When I'm in class I just write down what the professor writes on the board and then what seems like important definitions/topics. And when I get back to my dorm, sometime before the next class, I copy those notes into another notebook so that I can read them later and so that it makes me rethink about everything. That's what helps me, I don't know if it will be any help to you.
Have you ever heard of a concept map? What would happen if you drew pictures of things that those ideas make you think about or show how you relate or connect to the notes you've written. You would then have your verbal/narrative notes as well as a "picture" of what perhaps they MEAN. Just a thought...might want to try it with just one set of notes or ideas.
