About Me
I'm Renee, the girl whose phone rang in the middle of class! I'm a DHH major w/ Elementary Education. I've lived in Louisville all my life and it was a big change to move to Richmond. I'm a twin, but have almost nothing in common with my twin brother. I worked at a daycare for two years before I moved down to Richmond and still work when I go back in town. I love working at the daycare often refer to them in stories as "my kids". I'm really excited for this class, and my special education major in general!

My phone will make all kinds of funky noises in class, too. I'll never forget the time my husband forgot to turn his off in church. At the end of the service the minister was sharing the need for people to sign up to volunteer in the children's ministry. My husband's phone rang. The preacher said, "Great! They're calling in now to sign up!" I thought Virgil was going to die. Obviously, those things happen. As long as you don't take it out and start having a conversation I'm not going to say anything. I'm sure you can just imagine my face if a student actually had a conversation on their cell phone while we were trying to have class. Wouldn't that be a great sermon!!
I'm always excited when after the first class students are excited. If you feel that way after the first class hopefully it will only get better. Small group work will make it better.
I was excited by how willing so many students were to participate. I'm hoping everyone will feel more comfortable to do that in our class.
Im going into the same major as you!! and im like you im very excited about going into this field!!
I am currently working for the afterschool for the Corbin School System which is basically daycare and I call the children "my kids." I enjoy working with them. I particular work with the special needs children and it is awesome.
Mrs. White the story about your husband's phone ringing in church made me laugh so hard..I would have died!!!
