Extreme Home Makeover

So I can't say that I watch Extreme Home Makeover all the time but I did tonight because it was done in Louisville (which is where I'm from). The guy on the show said something that was really inspiring (and made me cry) so I thought I'd share it with you guys. The guy was blind and had several other disabilities. He said that some people see being blind as a disability but he sees it as an ability. People who can see make judgements on an outer appearance and he can't see that, so we he makes judgements they're about a person's inner self. He said that the words black, white, yellow, and red mean nothing to him because he can't see them. It just really touched me so I thought I'd share it with everyone else. Hope everyone has an amazing week!

I like watching that show. I saw a show where a family had a child that was autistic, and he was also blind and deaf. They put computers in all the rooms of the house and made it house proof for him. They made a basement that was stimultating for the child. This show is about inspiration. It is good for people to watch what other people go through.

I am totally watching that show now, and it is so sweet. This guy really does touch people even through the TV. It was an amazing show and I loved it cause it was close to home.

I would love to see this episode! All of my professors have been talking about it. Does anyone know if they are going to show it again?

I watched the episode you're talking about. It truly was moving... I was a little biased about the U of L thing- I'm a die hard UK fan! haha-

Nevertheless, it's great to see what people can actually do when they have good intentions at heart. The community and members of the Extreme Home Makeover crew made a tremendous difference in the young boys life...
